i used to be able to burn fine and now i cant? i use dvd shrink with dvd43 in the back and it makes the ts and vob files but when i go to burn them with nero it tells me illegal disc can somebody help me please?
I dont know when the last update for dvd43 was as I dont use it. The problem you are up aginst may be some new form of garb protection inserted in the video that dvd43 has not been updated for yet.

It could also be your media causing problems, or your firmware is out of date. If you are using vers 6 of Nero you could post your burn log and we could look thru it for errors. The log is found in program files>ahead>nero>nerohistory.txt. Be sure to edit out your serial number from the post, and we only need to see the last part of the log as this log lists all burns. It should seperate the burns with something like Nero history, (can't remember exactly) You can post a nero vers 7 log also, but you are going to have to look for it, as i don't have 7, and don't remember the path.

@edbtz123 - you've posted your entire Nero logfile, no biggie but it means your serial number has crept in. i've edited the post so only last section of logfile is present - 1.0C is here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1517 - sufficient total memory but no free memory. you need to close down more programs prior to ALL dvd work/burning to free up more memory - 4465MB is burning too close to outer edge of discs. If you use DVD Shrink, set target size to 4300MB in Shrink's preferences thus avoiding outer edge and not sacrificing much space - oh God, you're using some of the most awful, atrocious utter rubbish dvd media there is. get decent media, and glance at my signature for reasons not to use CMC media, also decent media recommendations are in my sig. be nice to your burner at Xmas and don't feed it landfill media - burner is refusing to burn those crap discs - hmmm, a likely story - CDRALW2K.SYS is part of Roxio. try uninstalling Roxio (doesn't always play well with Nero), then you might need to fully remove using Roxio Zapper - http://www.microadvantage.net/utilities
