have a lite-on dvd rw 1633 used as the slave. It read data disks thats about all, when I try to burn anything or even check the drive with nero it give me an error say wrong medium. Tried different type disks, same thing. I have a Lite-on 1693 set as the master and that works good,(when nero works) Any one got any Ideas??
Check your drives firmware and see if it is up to date. You can also run nero info tool and see if you see anything wrong in the aspi layer and DMA settings. Also here is what AD says about ASPI layers and how to install them: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/aspisetup.cfm and this tab shows your DMAs one of the tabs will list your firmware version also.
