How can I rip just the episodes off a dvd, I have season 5 of Seinfeld and want to backup just the episodes. I have dvd decryptor but I dont really understand how dvds work. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about encoding the episodes to avi for some other container?Set IFO mode in Dvd Decrypter then under Input tab select VTS_0x the episodes should be like 24m+ long. Then just select Stream Processing ->|Enable Stream Processing| make sure you select video and audio then at the bottom select demux. Now you just have the episodes alone. You can encode them to what ever you want.IF you just want 1 file with both video and audio select Direct Stream Copy

Then in that case use CloneDVD2 to rip out any extra content you don't want.Make sure that the output is like 9999MB then just strip out extra audio.....(By setting output to 9999MB it means that it will not encode the video so quality will stay HIGH)Then load it to DVD Shrink to compress it.Some ppl don't use CloneDVD but dvdremake to take out previews ect...But I like Clone's Interface alot better.

CloneDvd doesnt work, when I try to open the dvd it says somehting about dvd protection. Is there not some simple way of extracting the 5 episodes from the disc and then burn them straight onto a dvd to work in my dvd player. Using dvd fab it will only allow me to copy one track or copy the entire thing onto two discs.

Well DVDFab is to slipt a DVD9 to 2 DVD5 and you can select witch track you want to have on the first disc or second. In order to open it in Clone DVD you have to remove the Copy Protection either by Running AnyDVD or by making an ISO without the protection on it.I wouldn't know how to use DVDFab because the last time I used it,it was free and not payware.
