Using a DVD recorded from a mini DV,how do I get the video of unknown formatt from my DVD drive into my Pinnacle 8 video editing program.I do not have access to the original tape.
rip it using dvd decrypter, then use DVD2AVI to get it into avi format, then you can edit it there are tuts in the tutorial section that can guide you through this more effectively

Has anyone used the program "cinematize" that is suppose to let you extract DVD to avi? I saw it advertised in the videomaker magazine.
