    Hi Guys,

    Can I just start by saying what a wonderful site this is, I hope I contribute to it as much as others have.

    Right, my problem....I have a video ipod and it seems i plug it in as usual and now Itunes just doesn't pick it up. The PC sees it as I get the mass storage message at the bottom right of the screen, but ITunes just doesn't see it. Obviously this means I cannot add any mucis to it!!! How annoying.....

    Can anyone help me please?

    Hello buddy, welcome to the forums.

    Right, let's start with the basics. have you installed the software onto your iPod?

    If not, it can be downloaded from here.

    http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

    Hook your ipod up, open this software & click 'restore' to install it.

    Well the iPod should have come with a CD... it will be on that.

    Alternatively check the link in the above post by me. =)

    Right, found the disk, uninstalled all itunes and ipod software and then have reinstalled them. I then connect the Ipod and it comes up with the message usb not recognised, and of course Itunes does not see the ipod.

    Any more ideas?

    now go to [bold]start[/bold]----->[bold]all programs[/bold]----->[bold]iPod[/bold]----->[bold]ipod updater[/bold]

    then click 'restore'.

    Now try and update your iPod. It should be recognized by now...
