You need to EDIT out your Nero serial before someone hacked it and use it for free.

I have no idea what kind of burner you have here. However, you need to make sure that your burner has the latest firmware. I suggest going to Manufacture's website and download any available firmware, if not, then try this http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php

I recommend customize your size to 4400MB at the max with high quality media like authentic Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo" or "datalife plus" or Maxell (made in japan by Hitachi Corp.) -- I've burned over a thousand using those 3 top notch media and I've never experienced any issues and or coasters whatsoever.

Again, Fuji is "decent/good" media, but you'll need to make sure it's "Made In Japan", if it's made in Japn, then that's genuine YUDEN media. Otherwise, I would never buy it -- all my media's top priority is "Made In Japan", unless it's Verbatim then that's another story.

Try other high quality as mentioned above and try to burn at 4X (4X is the best and safest and or most recommended).

You need to dump InCD -- InCD is horrible, it will only conflicts with Nero when you're buring. Go here http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/InCD_CleanTool.html and get InCD General Clean Tool and run it completely wipe out any InCD from your system.

That is the most of your problems. Usb 1 is no good for dvd burning. To flash the firmware put it back inside the computer. For burning leave it inside the computer or get a usb 2.0 card to hook it to.

Thats because it wants faster transfer then usb 1 can give it. I dont remember what usb 1 was rated at I remember 1.1 was rated at up to 11 mbs but in real world we where lucky to get 5 on a steady basis.

Iomagic as well as many others that did not come in external boxes have problems trying to flash the firmware in a usb box. You may need to find a friend that will let you hook it up in there computer to flash it. Are you still having trouble burning after getting 2.0 card? And needing to update or just want to have the newer firmware.

yeah I wanted to get the newer firmware. I tried to copy some anime files, it got about half way through, and gave me some tracking error, I forgot to save the log, but I'll see if I can use a desktop to update the firmware. thanks for all the help, and I'll still keep ya posted.
