Well, how confusing can this get? I just want to burn music and my first try was a disater, was on Direct Adaptec and it locked the cd, no erasing, and this may sound crazy, but can you burn MP3's etc on a DVD, (I realize the V stands for video, but read or heard somewhere you could) Since at this point I only want to learn how to burn my music, what's the best way to do that? If anyone has time, I'd like to know the difference between them all. I also have videos to burn and don't know what to burn them to. Meanwhile I'll look thru the forums and see what I can find. Adaptec seems to be a loser.

Thx, kathy(very happy I found this spot)

As one of our seniors recently pointed out when answering another thread if you click on glossary at the top of the page you can answer most of your questions by doing a little reading.

That wise one was 9mmruger1, for which I offer my thanks for also making me aware of its existance.

(Whining) Just confused about where to start burning a cd as far as CD-R and CD-R/W. And also don't know whether to use DVD- or DVD+R. Or does it matter? There IS enough info here for me to learn how.

    THX Kathy
