how do i keep from losing songs already downloaded

Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

when I want to download more songs to our new ipod, how do i keep from loosing song already on there, it uploads the songs we have in our library, but we have more than one computer and if we get songs on one, and then download, we lose the songs off the ipod. Is there a way to keep this from happening, what if our compputer crashed, is there no way to protect the songs you have already?
