hey i have only recently got a chip for my xbox and am now attempting to back up some games. I have used many tutorials and followed them thoroughly. I have been using flashfxp to ftp to my xbox in conjunction with quix for creating the iso and nero to burn the iso image onto a dvdr disc. When i do all this everything works well and it tells me the it has burnt successfully but when i put the so called game into my xbox it says that there is nothng on the disc but when i go into dvd2xbox it shows me the files all the files that i burnt onto the disc but the game doesnt launch. what i want to no is could this have something to do with 1. you need a boot file if so where do i get this, 2. i need to include a dummy file in the burn in the iso creating process. any help would be greatly appreciated as i feel i am so close.
you most likely need a dummy file, the xbox will not read the disc unless a certian amount of information is contained on it.
If you can,quix has a feature where you can ftp the game from the xbox [bold]AND[/bold] convert it to an xISO at the same time. Then once you have the image use dvd decrypter to burn it. If it doesn't work after that...then try another brand of media.
im using nero it burns succesfully it just wont start it shows me the files are on the disc i just want to no do i need a boot file of sometype and where can i find it also how do you extract the files of a game using quix? i think i no i just need confirmation
