    I have been trying to burn War of the Worlds and Madagascar using DVD shrink and DVD clone2. While writing about 80% through it says it encountered an error and had to stop and then something about a cylic reduncy check or something. Anyone know what this is? Searching the internet I understand it to mean flaws in the disk and to try using a good dvd cleaner, but these are brand new dvd's and when I look at them they do not have any fingerprints, dust or scratches or anything? anyone got some "know how" on this?

    there are new forms of protection out there I know fab handles madagascar and WOW (shrink will not handle either) you may give it a try it's free!

    if you are already using a good decrypter than most likely it's a scratched cd!

    WOW = war of the worlds sorry for the confusion

    fab=dvdfabdecrypter found here => http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

    if you are using anydvd and had it enabled good chance you got a clean rip w/out going into editing prog's to check let's assume

    there is a chance that the new disks were poorly pressed and need to be exchanged! but let's try ripping w/ fab ;) first

    "WOW", duh! I keep looking to try to understand "cybertalk" and I try to hard in some cases - I guess! LOL. OK, I'll check out fab now. I just tried again to burn "WOW" with dvd shrink and clone dvd and it actually worked this time. Only thing I changed was the speed. I'm encoding Madagascar now and I'm at about 35%. I'm going to try doing the same thing I just did with WOW and see what happens and maybe I wont need fab??

    ok l8tr, here's a stupid question. After I decrypt Madagascar do I have to shrink it with dvd shrink or can I go strait to clone dvd or sonic and burn it from there?

    clonedvd will do the "shrinking" for you although there is better means, shrink (w/ high quality settings) for example although I use rebuilder almost religiously!

    as far as sonic record now it will also work (after shrinking)but there is free alternatives that are better imo.
