i am a beginner in making movies. i have movie files downloaded on my computer and they are in avi files. And my burning software is nero. but i can't figure out how to burn the movie files on dvds. whenever i try to do it, it says file not compatiable which makes me think i need a converter but dont know where i could find a free one that actually works. if anyone could please help me out any email me at insafs05@yahoo.com. thank you

You could be trying to load up Xvid AVI files which in order for nero to convert or play them you will need Mpeg4 codecs. Go to the link below and download it and then try nero again. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/divx_3_codec.cfm
