Greetings to everyone in Afterdawn World !
My first thread and therefore bound to cause me embarrassment, but I need some help please.
Have trawled the guides, but not sure that I have found the answer.
    Anyways......
Santa was kind enough to bring me an Archos 700 player, and in my naivety, I looked forward to transfering some of my DVDs via my PcC ( probably via Windows Media Player)using the USB cable ( I have successfully ripped CDs by this methodology)
Quickly realising this was not possible, I was brave enough to download DVD Shrink and transfer a movie onto my Harddrivre ( D)
This is now where it sits (Video TS- BUP file, IFO file and VOB file)
I don't know what to do next to get onto WMP or ,even better, how to transfer onto my Archos player.
Any suggestions will be most welcome.
    Thanks

    Welcome to aD!

You can find may programs to convert video from one format to another under the "Software" tab here on aD.

As for your player I know nothing about them sorry!

Congratulations on getting an Archos 700 player.I own an Archos AV320 but replaced the stock hard drive with a 100gb one.Now I can store up to 100 movies in .avi format. Heres a program that you might want to check out.Its called Video Vault by X-software.It has presets for most any portable video device.Just load the DVD and let her rip.Check out their website or just type Video Vault in Yahoo search. Download the trial and if it works for you,go ahead and purchase it like I did.Awesome program!Hope this helps.

As far as transferring files to your Archos player, just connect the supplied USB 2 cable to the back of the pc,turn on the Archos, and just cut and paste to your Archos player.

Thanx to those kind souls who responded.
After taking your advice, I think that the answer lies within Video Vault software. However, after downloading the free trial ( from a couple of different sites) I press the Evaluation tab and nothing happens.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong/how I can correct.
    Muchos gracias
