when i try to burn from my sony dru-540a i get a focus or tracking error....this is the first time this has happened........is it the files??? dan
drummer05-- We need some more information--like what are you trying to burn and what type of files are they? Also, what have you burned in the past that was successful and what is different this time--also what type(Brand) of disks are you using? Whitfield
It's more likely related to media or firmware and/or their interaction. What is your burner's firmware version? What brand and type of media are you using? You can download DVD Identifier from the site in my signature below. It'll give you the media code for the DVD which allows us to know who actually made it rather than its brand name. It'll also give you the firmware version, the letters and/or numbers after the name of the burner. What software is being used for the burn? Can you post a burn log? At what speed were you burning?
