I just bought Nero 7 to make a slide show for class. I created a practice show and burned it successfully. Excited about finding software to accomplish this task, I tried to create another show. Using the same type of DVD that I used previously, I tried to burn the DVD and I got the following message:

Your compilation cannot be written on this kind of disc. Please insert a disc of the correct type or modify the settings of your compilation to make them compatible with current disc.

I used the HP DVD+R recordable disc

It can hold 4.7 GB my show used 63.6 MB

I don't know much about this process, but I only had like 88 slides with transitions. I think it should have accomodated it. I am frustrated, because after $100, I feel it is back to the drawing board. Help!!!!!

After burning the practice the disk was finalized. You will have to use another blank to do the other burn

I'm sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I used the same type of DVD. I used a new DVD disc to make the second.

Then I would have to guess that the new compilation changed in some way from the way you did the practice. When selecting make slideshow. There should be 4 options dvd, vcd, svcd, and mini dvd. The dvd video option is for blank dvd the other 3 are for blank cd.

I chose VCD on the last burn. I didn't see a DVD option.

Do you know, is there anyway to change the format of the two slideshows I made in the VCD format?
