drive can't read s w 3

I have made back ups of most of my movies so far with litle problems by using dvd 43 and I copy dvds 2. I also have Nero shrink and dvd fab decrypter.

my drives are dvd rom sd 612b version 5.1.2535.0 and dvd rw vom 12e 48x version 5.1.2535.0

nothing happens when i put sw 3 in. please insert a disk

can anyone help

When i put sw3 in my drive it says my drive is empty. can't even watch it on my pc nevermind burning it

Yes the sw3 is an original legitimate copy. when i put it in my drive in my pc it's like there is no disk in the drive.

 

very wierd? do other dvds play ok? if so then it may be a bad pressing from new, take it back to the shops for a replacement

yes when i put it in my pc nothing happens. it's a brand new dvd and i can watch it on my dvd player but my pc says there is nothing in the drive. i have made backups of a dozen dvds no problem.

 

Have you tried a different DVD in the pc drive since the SW3 disc?

I wonder if the drive is failing.

 

yes i backed up a movie yesterday no problem. it's the only dvd that i've encountered that my pc will not recognize as being in my drive
