hi ive been playing half life 2 and its worked fine up until now. it keeps on crasing at the same point in the game ive just got to black mesa east and am at the point where im about to play with the gravity gun for the first time but every time i walk into the airlock the game stops says loading and then just crashes and i get "hl2 has encountered a problem and needs to end" is there anything i can do about it?
Ok...sometimes your pc cant take the physics of the game, Theres alot happening after this load area... first thing You meet "DOG" Take up alot of your CPU "DOG" is a big ass mutha fudging robot, doesnt help you much in the game...but helps enough. The physics of the game are increased by 200%once you get the gravity gun, becuase before the gravity gun the gravity of the game was about 40. for the realism, thats why when you put the little gravity cheat in it doesnt make the peoples fly up into the air and do aorobics, they just fall. now the gravity is 700 (Normal gravity). What i would suggest is that do the following When you go into the air lock, back into it, dont head straight for it, like turn your gun around so its facing the wya you came in, and back up till you hit the loading sign...if that doesnt work, start the black mesa east over agian. and if that doesnt work. put in the cheat for gravity to 40 agian. by doing the following... Go to options once your in the game, Go to advance, under the keybaord option. Click on developer mode, Go to game then press the tilde key (~) Type in , sv_cheats 1 Then type in sv_gravity 40 Then go back to game and try that agian, if not working then try this, Beat your computer to death, or call the steam dudes and ask them if they can help... Ill go home and come up with some new ways....ill get back to you tomorow. with more ideas, use a phonecard when calling them though, lots of money if you dont.
