Burning on DVD-R

    Hello,
    I have a HP DVD writer dvd200i. I tried to burn a DVD-R with it, but it tells me that there is no disk in the drive. What can I do? Or what could be the problem? Anyone can help me.

    put a disc in the drive

    The DVD-R disc is in the drive.

    Your drive doesn't support the -R format. You'll need to use the +r format.

    I have been getting similar messages with my HP lightscribe burner. I have used maxell DVD-R and HP DVD+R type disc. Does the lightscribe require a certain disc to burn? Just got the pc a few days ago.
