In a thread I posted earlier, I mentioned I was having trouble getting my lightscribe burner to detect blank discs. It was mentioned to me to check the DMA setting. My setting is enabled but I have 2 primary channels and 2 secondary channels instead of one each. Is that causing my problem? I uninstalled them all and rebooted and they all re-appeared. I have the Sonic program that came with the pc and downloaded versions of DVDShrink and DVDfabdecrypter.
If you have two different IDE controllers on your mobo, you'll have 2 primaries and 2 secondaries. Is that what you're Device Manager is showing, two different IDE controllers?
