so it USED to play aud cds? u sure u didnt delete something by accident or change some setting around?
Yes it did under the MS Dash which I can't get back to. I have the Unleashed X dash now. I am pretty sure I backed it up but I don't want to make things worse since games and DVD movies are working. I was hoping of a way to get a player on there buring it to DVD-R but so far I've had no success.
ok burn xbox media center onto a CD-R, when thats done, boot your xbox with its CD-DRIVE TRAY OPEN. then you should come to a bluse screen with stuff like, install softmod, blah blah. put your cd-r with the new prohram in it and go to file manager(scroll down) and click on it and then select the D: drive. you shoudl be able to see the program. press the right trigger and select the E: drive and then select the folder that says applications, enter it, press the left trigger now select the folder of the program and click the white button, there should be an option to copy. press yes to copy and it should copy the foldr over to the E:\applications folder. take out the disk and shutdown the xbox, turn it back on with the CD TRAY CLOSED and you should be back to your unleashed dash. now go into your progs folder and run xbox media center. then put watever disc u want and play!
rhinoguy doesn't the xbox drive have to read cd-r's to do that last time i checked you couldn't read cd-r's in the xbox drives. And yes i have the samsung drive.
I have a Samsung drive and my Xbox only reads DVD-R. I have a bunch of files and folders for XBMC but I don't know what to do with them. The Readme didn't really help and I have a Bin/cue with doesn't no good since my Xbox can read CD-R or CD-RW. I don't have a X-over cable. How can I get XBMC on my Xbox with burning to a DVD-R.
Well I was able to FTP XBMC to my Xbox thanks to this thread. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/228294 I needed to print the whole thing and run back and forth from room to room with the pages since my Xbox and computer are in different rooms, but I finally got it working dammit! I'm going to try put some videos on there now that I have this FTP thing down.
