Hi Guys, I recently got a Pioneer DVD writer and tried to burn my first DVD. I used DVD Shrink 3.2 and it used Nero to do the actual burning. I got an error at the end and I have attached the log. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I searched through the forums (Glueeater, Creaky et al - wonderfull job guys) and got the general problem areas (and I am probably playing the devil's advocate here) 1.DMA - I checked this and the setting is correct 2.Custom size in DVD Shrink - 4300 ( I did this but havent re-tried) 3.Speed - I used 16X and will retry with 4X today. 4.Firmware - This might be out of date (1.37 is listed on the firmware download site). Should I download it or should I check the other possible causes. 5.Nero version - Seems to be all right. 6.Nero Info tool - Showed the ASAPI is not installed or something like that. Is this a big deal,not sure. 7.I believe I have enough memory,but I had some other programs up at the moment and looking at the logs that is probaly low. 8. I am using TDK media. I couldnt find any info on the "Queue again later" messages. Definitly update firmware, 1.37 is a huge step from 1.22. If you've read a bunch of threads tehn you will see that the only media most people here recommend it either TY, Verbatim. and SOny fuji and maxell made in japan.

Guys, Yesterday I tried doing the write again and it worked. I did the following,not sure which really helped but I was not interested in narrowing down on the specific one Custom size in DVD Shrink - 4300 Speed - I used 4X. Firmware - Updated Freed up more memory and had nothing running. I still used the TDK media bcos I have 10 and I might as well use it up,but I will be getting the other recommened media going forward. Thanks once again for the help Cheers
I just had the same problem with mine. It's a heat error. H1 - Heat??? T1 - Thermal?????? Anyway, I moved the 2 hard drives off the top of it and stuck a couple of bottle tops there to let air between my stack of temporary drives... and away she went, merrily churning and burning out DVDs like it should.
