bought new laptop( HP pavilion ze2000) 1.6 gig with 1 gig mem , picked up new Memorex 16x duel +_ format recorder, software nero 6, clone dvd , any dvd, the issue is it copys fine to the harddrive and when it gets ready to burn it says , writeing to video media not sucessfull media write error a write error has occured, probably by bad media details WriteDVD 10 11 W2 ok the dvd media I use is first time was memorex 8x second time was ritech 5 8x and an office max brand 16 x all with the same error , my other machine with an old sony dru500a works great with the memorex and ritech brand , any ideas ?????? I found out it was the external box, I switched to another and it copys and burns , but it pixalates really bad , slowed the copy speed to 2 -2.4 times and no change ,not sure what to try next .
With your CPU speed I would go to the task manager and turn off everything you can. Plus I wouldn't run any other apps while you are burning. Also turn off your screensaver too.
