Those are great programs, but none can rip movies that do have copy right protection. You will need the following programs: [bold]DVD Decryptor[/bold] - Rips movie to your hard drive (no longer updated) http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_decrypter.cfm Can no longer be downloaded on AD http://www.free-codecs.com/DVD_Decrypter_download.htm This is an outside site that you can download from [bold]DVDFab Decrypter[/bold] - Rips movie to your HD (still updated) http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvdfab_decrypter.cfm Can no longer be downloaded on AD http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm This is an outside site that you can download from [bold]DVD Shrink[/bold] - Compress 9 gigs to 4 gigs http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm [bold]Nero[/bold] - Burn movie files to DVD+r or DVD-r You can use the combination of DVD Decryptor, DVD Shrink, and Nero.
i hav all ready got DVD Shrink 3.2 but still i am none the wiser. i use ISO image file as my selected backup target but after than i don't know what 2 do.
Sorry for the late response. Can't help it at this time of year. I don't know if your issue has been resolved, but you might want to review this link. It's very detailed of what to do. Not sure if DVD Shrink could rip it as an ISO. That might be nero recording as an ISO Image. Here's the link: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd9_to_dvdr_with_dvd_shrink.cfm
You can do it with nero or alcohol if you have something that removes copy guards like anydvd. Anydvd works by overiding the copy guard when you put it in the drive.
