My guess would be no.. mainly becuase it would take up A LOT much drive/disk space...

It works good with xbox becuase of the unlimited but unless they do that to Ps3, which i doubt because there would be problems with that like modding and everything .. i doubt they'd do that becuase they lose money through that.

My guess would also be no...except people once thought we'd NEVER be able to copy cds, ps1 & 2 games, DVD's, etc....you see what I mean!

Its already possible to copy Blu-ray discs. Its just that, like other technologies, the movies and games will contain copy protection that make it hard (but not impossible) to copy them.

Well if you decide to back it up you could use a 250GB hard drive.

True. We're going to need more and more space as the technology get better....before you know it, we'll have TeraByte sized hard drives....and we'll be filling them up!!

Hmmm well actually I think I heard that they're already selling 1TB hard drives. They're not really 1TB but like 4 250GB ones all stuck together and ready for you. I think the scarier thing is having a mini disc that can store 1TB of information. THAT would be great.

Well, the Blu-ray disc holds, what....50G? That alone amazes me! We've come a long way from the Commodore 64 days, huh? I had one of those and thought is was the greatest thing!

a double layered one holds 50gb a normal one only holds 25gb and if you think about it how many games are double-layered for the ps2? very few

They'll probably ALL be DL for the PS3...and I'm guessing some heavy duty anti piracy prog will be in place to prevent people from copying. Of course that will only last so long.

I doubt it'd be very good. Sony was recently attacked for it's new anti piracy software for music. They say they aren't putting that into the PS3 and they might wanna keep under the radar of people who complain about such things. I expect it'll be slightly better than normal. And piracy can't occur because no one had Bluray burners yet.

I was checking the Dell XPS and they sell it with up to 1 Tera Byte of Hard Disk Space. When the PS3 comes out, and when bluray drives and media are accesible for the PC it shouldn't be that difficult to backup games.

Also, someone should find a way to take advantage of the 2.5" HDD that will be available for the PS3. The only real obstacle to hack the PS3 should be the firmware updates that are now common on the PSP and most recently XBOX 360.

Razengan!!!

Probably. The problem is it's not out yet. Let's just wait till next year. By then it should be out unless all the Bluray drive problems delay even further.

1st thing , i agree with Spyder22 when he says nothing is 100% foolproof.I personaly think hakers are gona find a way to hack the ps3,its gona take some time (mainly cause there is many new technolgy being used in the ps3 like the new blu-ray drive and the new amazing nvidia graphics engine, and oh ya lets not forget the firmwire updates) but later on many hakers are gona finally crack the secret of the ps3,and then later on, mods that let u play ps3 backups or should i say "downloaded games" are gona be coming out.the 2nd thing is "lets say when mods start to sell, and ps3 game owners start to upload there games(wich are on on blu-ray disks) to torrent sites " its not really gona mater how much is the size of these games is gona be,for example when you download a game you just burn to cd/dvd/blu-ray or whatever and then when its done burning.you just delete the file from your pc just like you never downloaded any thing.noting to lose ,even hard drive space.you are getting a free game.who would'nt want a free game wich is a value of 50 to 70 dollars posibly even more.

of course i am not 100% sure about this information but i think i am pretty close.and from what i know from looking at the specs of the ps3 from the oficial site and other sites i should be right about what i wrote about the hardware.

DISTURBING THE PEACE SINCE - uhh.. i made an account?
