I recently purchased NERO 7 ULTRA EDITION and installed it. I started converting a DVD home made movie onto MPEG-4; so after setting up the size and profile, I pressed the NEXT button to proceed to the BURN page. I then encountered a system hungapp. I downloaded the latest version of the software (2.2.7.6) from the NERO Website but the same problem was encountered. Here's the message: szAPPName: Recode.exe szAppVer: 2.2.7.6 szModName: hungapp NOTE: I tried converting DVD to DVD but encountered the same message above. My operating system is Windows XP (no service pack2). Please help. I am a new user and would certainly appreciate any assistance.
I also own full version Nero 7 Ultra and you do need service pack 2 for Nero to operate correctly as indicated on website and software box.......this could possibly your problem however, I have not "tried convert a DVD home made movie onto MPEG-4"

Hi, I have successfully installed Windows service pack 2 and downloaded the latest NERO 7 updates from the NERO website but to no avail. I tried to convert DVD movies to NERO Digital and also recode non-copy protected DVDs but each time I press on the "NEXT" button to proceed to the BURN screen, I do encounter or experience an APPLICATION HUNGAPP. The hour glass stays forever and when I press CTL ALT DELETE, recode.exe shows with a message "not responding". I could not get any assistance from NERO support....please help! Thanks.
Why are you using recode, if you are just making a copy of a DVD all you need to do is use Nero Burning Rom or pick what selection you want to use from the smart start Icon... First question is did you use the Nero cleantool from the website prior to re-installing Nero Second if you are copying DVDs pick DVD copy in Smart Start or Open Nero Burning Rom and copy disc that way.
You're right. I was simply testing the DVD copy portion of NERO Recode. Apparently, it's now working including REMAKE DVDs. However, I am still unable to convert Video_TS onto NERO DIGITAL (MP4) It's the same problem - the hour glass stays forever after I click on the NEXT button. Could not get the following to work: 1. RECODE DVDs and Videos to Nero Digital 2. Recode Main movie to Nero Digital Has anyone been successful in creating MP4 via NERO Digital using NERO RECODE 2 (ver 2.2.7.6)? Please help. Needs direction...
