cd burner not recognized by windows media player 10

    i have an internal cd burner - i use windows xp and media player 10 - when i right click on the drives properties there is no tab to enable cd recording - it has worked in the past so im not sure why it doesnt now. is there anything i can do to start burning again?

    Try upgrading the firmware for your burning drive; you'll be able to find this at the manufacturer's website probably under support.

    Do that first to rule it out.
