All the drives seem to say R/W +R but I see/find no software that will allow me to copy my family videos I have recorded to DVD+R format with my Toshiba standalone recorder---on my computer. It would be so much easier to make family copies on the computer rather than playing the video thru the standalone Toshiba hour after hour!

Of course you can! What burning software do you have? Do you have a DVD burner? If so, what kind? Post your pc setup and we'll give you all the help you need!

My available external drives are: Sony DRX-710UL and SOny DRXULX

also a Pioneer 107 and 109. As far as software is concerned I have every piece their is I think. All that have ever been mention on AfterDawn. PCs are not problem Toshiba Laptop Satellite A45-S250 and another laptop VGN-FS640 Vaio. Drive in it I think is a Mitibushi.

It isn't the drives it is software I think that I'm not finding where it will burn the DVD+R. Thanks

The software doesn't care whether it's +/-R but your burner has to be +R or multi-format to use +R media to burn. Just be sure your Sony and Pioneer burners are +R and use the software you have and you'll be fine. Let us know if you need any more help.
