divx process???

    could someone please lead me to a guide so i may learn about divx and what software i need. also the difference with other formats. im new

    Here's a very friendly user program that you can backup dvd2divx easily.

    Rip and encode a short movie with the latest DivX encoder. If you encounter audio sync errors then switch to MPEG4 DivX 3.11alpha.
    MPEG1= VCD format
    MPEG2= SVCD format
    MPEG4= DivX format
    VCD video quality sucks, SVCD video is amazing and DivX is a touch better. Kiss technologies are in the process of releasing DVD DivX players to be released in the USA, but I assure you they won't come cheap!
