    Hey guys,
I have a set top DVD recorder and also a NEC burner in my PC. For some reason I have to keep the discs seperate cause once I burn them on my PC they can only be watched by my recorder and can not to be used to record any more. I have tried formatting the RW media in my PC but it makes no difference. Does anyone have any idea why this might be?

What program(s) are you trying to erase the disc with? Nero, DVD Decrypter and Imgburn will erase RW discs.

I have tried Nero and Imgburn, after I erase (even long erase) the disc my recorder just either says "cannot play this disc" or "disc is dirty" if i try to format it in the recorder it says either disc is dirty or that the disc is non recordable.

I use the fast format in DVDInfopro to format any of my +RW before burns.
