CDRW erasing problems!

Hi,
I'm trying to erase some CDRW's using Nero. It takes a few seconds and says that it's been erased but all the original content is still on the CD! I get the same results with cloneCD and DiscJuggler.. What's going on!
The CDRW has only been used about 5 times and now the bastard won't erase!?
Any comments / suggestions / HELP!

If you created it with media player then you'll have to erase it with media player.
mind you - Ive had awful results with my burner with the latest nero updates, my pc locking up when either doing a multisession or erasing a rw - im back with version 5.5.5.1 again and its fine now

I've also had bother with not being able to erase / write onto rw's that are 1-10 & 1-16 cos my burner isnt able to cope with them -I can only use 4* rw's and 8* cd-r's
