I have a dvd recorder in my pc and dvd player for home.I have a lot of movies that I want to burn with my dvd recorder and I have the subtitles for those movies.Which program should I use that burn's dvd movies and enables subtitles?So if anyone know please write.
You want to burn subtitles on unsubtitled movies? I think i'll join you on this one thread... Didn't even know you could do that... And as a matter of curiosity, where did you find those subtitle files?
Got this off their site. Well, CCE SP isn't the cheapest of encoders, Rotary. Will TMPGEenc Plus work the same?
hi not sure if tmpgenc PLUS will except subtitles? but use 1 of the 2 free encoders that comes with TFM! use HCEnc for a good all rounder... subs = http://subtitles.images.o2.cz/
When i used to make svcd's (before i got my DVD burner) i used DVD2SVCD/TMPGEnc. Oh, i think that's how i found AD, i was looking for a guide for that conversion... Back to the topic... I used to burn the subtitles in those SVCD's when they were available. I don't know, but i would say that if it done it before for those it would work on these... So theoretically it would burn subtiles from a DVD. Having said that, the main thing here is to introduce a new subtitle file into the unsubtitled DVD film, so it might not work... This is just a thought...
Since I'm lazy Does anybody knows where I can find subtitles for existing titles 'cause I hate to translate and compile myself. Mainly I use DVDlab pro for compiling dvd's.
I just want to burn movies in DVD movie and I have ex:moviesub.sub and the movie I want to add it into it and I have 3 subs for 1 movie like if you buy dvd movie from blockbuster and you put on your dvd player there's like options the select like that I want a program like that

Hi Rotary. Just nipped out and (erm...) bought both Cinema Craft Encoder and Canopus Procoder to use with The Film Machine. I'm going to try this process to add subtitles to a DVD. It makes no difference to me, but to a lot of people i know it will be cinema heaven! This is a very nice piece of kit. I managed to see where and how to fit the subtitles in but... It's for AVI... Some part of the format is a bit like Nero Vision Express (NVE). (the way you add the menu to it, you know what i mean...) But i can convert SVCD's to DVD's by merging both CD's into one DVD using NVE. What i'm trying to do here is to see if i can turn an SVCD into a DVD, just like i did with NVE but throw the film's subtitles in it in the process. What is your opinion? Do you think it's doable?
hi yes try procoder but i never found it brill? and i use CCE, now the version that works with TFM is v270-01-05, the newest doesnt work! now when i go mpeg to dvd i use isobuster to extract the mpeg from the bin file, then load to mainconcept encoder to get mpeg2 (dvd compliant) then author in TMPGEnc DVD Author to get vob/ifo/bup (and a quick menu if needed?) but to add subs to an mpeg i have no idea? also if you are used to useing NVE your going to have a big shock with TFM the quailty is just amazing! NVE, well you will see the resulting dvd is the same quailty as the avi you loaded in! staright to ISO for burning, this app does the lot! and has DSRoba for CCE (4 passes of CCE in 1 pass = nice ;-]))

Hi Rotary. As you know i've been wanting to try the idea of adding subtitles to an unsubtitled DVD using The Film Machine. The problem is that this program is, like i said before, only compatible with .AVI files. (I've been very busy working with TFM and my .AVI files...LOL) I first tried using ISOBuster to extract the MPEG files from an SVCD. But in order to be able to load it into TFM i need to convert it into .AVI, perhaps using WinAvi... Have you got any other program in mind that i could use for this convertion, as i don't really trust WinAvi... I tried not to compare it to NVE, and i must admit in what you said before about the quality TFM delivers... IMVHO the reason why TFM's quality is superior to NVE's, is because it works with CCE... And we all know CCE is one of the best encoders we can find. But while NVE takes all sorts of files, including my SVCDs directly from the CD, TFM has the ability of introducing those subtitles... hi never gone mpeg to avi so not to sure, but if it were me i would look into gordian knot <--- think that is spelt right?
