best multimedia tool?

hi, i was wondering what the best multimedia tool was, for playing most video and audio formats. I have vlc media player but i don't like it that much. Any reccomendations? I'm using windows me.

also, is there a program that completely uninstalls a program, even from the registry.

Vlc is one of the best i have found. but you can just use winamp if you like... also i think you need to install the programs with a safe installer or something, i know there are apps for it out there. try searching download.com or somewhere.
