OK, I found out how to enter the subsidy code by leaving the phone powered on for 2 hours (read this for more details http://www.gsm-unlock.com/unlock/unlock-motorola.html. If your happy with your service provider there is no reason to unlock your mobile. Members only want to unlock there mobile so they can use a different carrier. It also adds to the value of a mobile when it's sim free. I do not know how to unlock Motorola phones just Nokia's so I do not know if having the sim matters or not, sorry. Hope this helps. Regards
