Did not work.
says "simcard registration failed" Still booted as a t-mobile phone after nokia page. This is my second try. Any other suggestions?

I have new news. I put in a different sim card and it works fine. The new sim was a replacement for a lost phone. I guess it needs some activation or something. Will call cingular. Thank you very much for all the help. My daughter will be pleased to have a phone again.

yes it is unlocked. The other problem was the sim card which needed to be activated. Thanks again.
