I just purchased Nero 7 UE, mainly to take my DVD-Rs with the family stuff on them and make custom ("best of")DVD-Rs for specfic people. When I made the DVD-Rs, I just dumped the entire contents of the video tape onto the DVD so there isn't any structure to it. There are instuctions when there are chapters, I don't have any. Well I'm overwelmed! Are there any existing threads for this process? Do I do this through Nero Recode 2?? Help!
If you want to do it with nero you will need to use vision. The best way I came up with for this very thing was I took the dvd's I dumped the video's on and imported them into vision. Set the chapter marks where I wanted them for each part of the video on each disk. Then burned the disk with chapters for latter use to the hard drive. Then start another project and bring into it whatever chapter from whatever one of the 4 folders I did from the originals for the new compilation. I did know I was going to do this at some point when I first started dumping from hi8 to dvd so I used rw to start with. That way now that I got the 4 disks set with chapters where I want I will just burn them to -r to always have for use when I want to compile a disk from the 4 in another manner.
How do i import into vision? I don't really see the option I'm looking for. I have mutiple DVD-Rs that I would need to work off of (I have about 20) to take video off of.
