    jiml,

Download & install "DVDShrink". It's pretty clean & simple to use. There's a small bit of a "learning curve" (not much), and it's a little odd about the DVD RE-Authoring (which you probably won't need).

DVD Shrink is freeware, and will shrink your .VOB DVD down to a size that will fit on a single-layer DVD.

Or, if your DVD burner supports it, you could buy Dual-Layer media (at about $3.00 each at Wal-Mart) and burn it on DVD9.

DVD Shrink does not burn files, it compresses them to fit onto your DVD5 disk. You then burn with another program of your choice, i.e. Nero, iso files with DVD Decrypter or CopytoDVD. Here is a guide on conversion/compressing and burning.

okay you are in the rebuilder forum not the shrink forum!

but if removing the maximum amount of audio doesn't allow it to shrink you may need to do some [bold]reauthoring[/bold] and try removing any previews or insignificant amounts of video (end credits, opening scenes, fbi warning) til you get to a workable size!

or start again and follow the guide arnie supplied you using divx to dvd(no longer free) to convert the format's!

    l8ter!

ps please repost any problems in dvd shrink forum!
