I have read every post and tried every fix on this topic. I still get Illegal Disk errors when trying to burn both TDK and Memorex DVR-R disks. I have burned both these disks successfully in the past. Below is one of the log files. Any help would be appreciated. @Longhorn1 Well your illegal disc error usually means it doesn't like your media. This stuff is the worst and more than likely the reason. Sometimes it will burn sometimes it won't even from the same spindle. Both TDK and Memorex use different manufacturers. TDK uses some good ones (not all are good though) while Memorex's are mainly bad. Stick with the good stuff like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. You might want to reduce the target size to 4360 also. Switch your brand of media and you should be good.
Try to burn at 4X next time, it's one of the best speed and most recommended for burning. The above error stated that your DRU 720A doesn't like the media you're using. In addition to what binkie7 had mentioned, even though you may have had success at burning with TDK and CMC MAG in the past, it doesn't mean you'll have a successful on every burns. CMC MAG is one of the worst media in the market (extremely inferior), it has some of the cheapest dye. No offense here alright and I really mean it, but I despise CMC MAG and I will never ever waste a single penny on them crap media period. The only media I recommend is genuine Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo/datalife plus" and Maxell (mij by Hitachi), thest are top notch aka high quality media. Good luck!!

Also... forgot to mention. On the dropdown list for write speed, 4X was not available. 6X was the slowest option.
