New HP Burner? Media?

    Haven't received my new computer yet should be delivered this week, would like to know what type media should I order so I can start burning.

    I plan on useing Verbatium DVD-R 16X speed Media just not sure if I order it, if it will work.Do not plan at burning at 16X, Any suggestions?

    here is a media guide that will tell you the best quality disk you should be using....... Verbatims are excellant and should be more than ok with your new drive! but just in case you can look up your drive here: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters.php just put your drive in the SEARCH DVD WRITER and it will tell you what disks work best for your drive! Keep in mind that just cause you have a 16x drive doesn't mean you should burn at that speed. Rule of thumb is to burn at half the rate or the disk...... so if you have an DVD+R, 8x disk.... you're max burn speed should be 4x.......4x is the usual speed that most people use so that there isn't any read errors or writing errors and your disk should come out just fine at that speed! Good media, Burn slow (4x) and you'll be ahead of the game.

    i can recommend what i use as i used over 2000 now which are RITEK GO5 dye...
