Burning DVDS

Hi All,
I'm new to burning DVDS and are obviously having problems. I have downloaded movies from bearshare and have used divxtodvd to change the format and then burnt them onto dvd-r using Nero. The movies play fine on a regular dvd player but when I go to pause or stop them they just keep on playing. Before burning with Nero it tells me that the movie has Pal and NTSC format, could this be the problem and if so what can I do. Thanks

 

check your batteries for your remote, and that you are pointing to the DVD player! That is a possibility! Don't get mad at me! hahahaha

why didn't you set DivxtoDVD to burn after you convert the format? that's what I do when I have to use DivxToDVD. PAL(Asia & Europe) or NTSC(for USA) is not your problem where it won't pause when you want it to. If it is playing fine and then you want to pause..... what are you doing to pause the disk? The remote button or the button on the player? I never heard of this happening to a DVD that plays fine.

like ihoe says look at the main player buttons see if it works then?

 

I've tryed to pause and stop playback by pressing the buttons on the actual player and still the same, movies keeps playing then player shuts down.
