i have always had a starview box and know how to update that. do i update the eurovox max 2007 the same way? also can you please tell me the name of latest firmware so i can download it from eamos library

flash it with 18/04/08 firmware you will find it in eamos library

excuse me if i am sounding dumb here but do i connect the eurovox by null modem cable and click download on the ufl and that will flash it?

can it be that simple?

Thats for a Max V not a 2007 model, latest firmware for that is dated the 21/07/08 for the Red box, but you need to check the link I gave you earlier and check if it a clone or genuine box first.

yes you need to flash it with the latest firmware for your box which i take it it is a red judging by the firmware that's on it, if you look in the eurovox help link under my sig you will get all the help you need as reagrds flashing the box and links to the firmware as well.

Sorry have to head out for a bit.Yes thats OK but are you saying you have a genuine Red 2007 box? If so flash it with the Red 21/04/08 firmware in Eamos and yes its a UFL so all you do is hit download and then scan for channels. The link I gave you earlier has all the info you need.

if its a genuine red then flash it with the firmware sc0ucer referred to you will find it in the eurovox help link under my sig,and as regards to your previous query yes it is that simple.

not sure what you mean,if you need to get into installation, unless you changed it the default password is 0000, if this dosn't work try 1004, then you need to set your symbol rate at 6887 and frequencies from 290mhz-420mhz, as i take it your in Dblin.

sorry missed that not sure about the frequencies but you can't go wrong scanning from 200 mhz-700mhz symbol rate 6887 for n@l though 6952 works in some areas.
