when I have tried backing up my last 2 films I have had a burn error mesage. I am sort of cluless when it comes to this but I have saved the log if that would help at all. The thing is one of the films I had the error on I have already done before and worked fine but wanted to redo it as it skipped a bit. Any ideas please, it's driving me nuts, Thanks.

Post the log. Remember to edit out the sn# before posting it.

Wow, what you have there is the first version of Nero 6 EVER. They are now on version 6.6.0.18. So maybe you wanna update. I'm surprised you haven't had a problem yet. Your seems to be up to date, but it looks like that's they only existing f/w you have. So that can't be good.

Your atapi isn't loaded correctly. YOu can google on how to fix this since I don't have a link to this. Or maybe someone will come and tell you. Wait...is this an external burner?

You are burning too close to the edge, you want to have about 3mm from burned data to the edge to the disc. Move it back a few minutes.

Skipping movies are usually bad media problems. I don't like to point this out usually b/c people go on to think that everything else I tell them isn't important because they figure all teh other stuff doesn't matter. Try Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. SOny and fuji are ok but only if they are made in japan. If they're made in japan thne that means that thye're Yuden discs.

Go here to update your Nero, remember you only need to download packets 1 and 2.

    http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero-up.php

I don't really see what could be confusing you. I listed the media you should be buying.
