I currently have nero 6 and nero vision express 2. I have had nothing but trouble with them. I have to pay extra for a plug-in if i want to record DVD files with nero 6, my demo is over. I'm wondering if it is worth buying nero 7? Is it any better? If not, what other software is there? I am mainly burning VOB files with it.

    Thanks
    Jen

I'm sticking with Nero 6.6 because I've read of numerous issues with Nero 7. There are plenty of other progs out there to try out. I've used Ashampoo's burning suite, CopytoDVD and CloneDVD all of which have worked fine.

There are torrent files that could get you the full fledged programs listed above. Or so I've been told...

There are free progs as well but that'd be a trial/error task for you. Check out snapfiles.com or majorgeeks.com.

If you're doing Dual Layer burning rip to ISO with DVDDecrypter and burn with IMGBurn.

If you'd asked me, then I'll definitely say; YES.... Nero 7 is worth every pennies. It has been burning flawlessly for me since the day I upgrade to Nero 7. So for Nero has never let me down. However, the choice is yours.
