hi, windvd 7 is supposed to be supporting dvd audio but i can't get it working. I'm using a creative audigy 2 zs, connected by analog to an external amplifier. I can also use the standard creative dvd-audio-software, that one works and i remember myself using a demo of windvd 6 which worked too. The installer didn't detect the 96khz/24bit-function of my card too. Dvd-audio-function is greyed out. Tried to contact intervideo but their website is currently not working (receiving mails of non-existing addresses whenever i fill in a contactform etc), hopefully they're not bankrupt or stuff like that? I've been trying for a week. Can somebody help me out plz? thanks, jr.
hi, anyone out there? Please help. For some reason I don't get any reply from intervideo: their advanced facq isn't working + troubleshooting report is buggy as well...
Have the same problem here. But... an earlier version of WinDVD 7 worked ok. All other progs work so the soundcard/speakers are all ok.
What's happening is this, WinDvd7's trial has expired, when it tries to display the window it dies because it was written for Win98 MFC42. To fix this is easy. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer and navigate to where you installed WinDvd; usually C:\Program Files\Intervideo ... When you find WinDVD.exe, right click, properties, compatabilty. Click Run This Program as Windows 98, OK. Now when you start WinDVD, the expiration window will work. - Steve
