I recently had a double layer Sony DVDburnerinstalled and it came with the Nero program but when I try to burn a CD or DVD it's telling me it's burning with an unknown burn phase and it tells me the same thing when it won't burn some cd's or it can't read them yet a friend can burn these cd's on his older version of Nero what am I doing wrong I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, still the same results. Can someone help me please. Thank you.
Check to see if you have the latest firmware for your drive. This usually can be found on the manufacturers web site.
Could you post your Nero log to insure there are not other problems going on. It can be found in My Computer/Program Files/Ahead/Nero/Nero History
