I am having a heck of time trying to figure this out. I am using clonedvd2 and dvd43 or dvd encrytor. I have a NEC ND-2510A dvd/rw DL. I am using memorex dvd+r 2.4x/8.5gb/240min. this will copy the movie to hard disk just fine but everytime I insert a dvd it stats media write error, probably caused by bad media. I have tried 13 disks and none of them work. I hav uninstalled and reinstalled the dvd drive and still no luck. Any suggestions as to why this is not working?

I had those but ran out and all they had were these. Should I look into a firmware update? currently mine is 2.0 and I do not seem to see any new ones. I at first thought my burner had blown but this seems to be a liitle more reassuring.

Your firmware is out of date.
Use DVDDecrypter go to Tools -> Drive -> Check for firmware updates and it will find an update for you. That could be it…

I just did that and it give me about 5 link choices with 2.05 to 2.48. To be completely honest I have no idea as to how I would download this and what version I should use so I don't mess up my drive. Any advise?

Since you have the 2.0 I believe I would try the 2.06 if my drive was not a mad-dog or something else.. I don’t believe that will hurt. Just click on the 2.06 to download then install..
