I just bought a Dell Dimension E510 and recieved a SONY DVD-ROM DDU1615 as the dvd drive in it. And when I insert a movie in it, it starts making a kinda loud rattling noise when its loading the disc, it also sometimes makes a rattling sound when a movie is playing. This happens about 50% of the time when i play movies. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanx,
    Joe

if the disc is normal is may be due to wornout drive try other disc like cd, installation if the problem still persists, you may need to change your drive if your RMA is still active

Hey underdog the reason that it makes that sound is because of the cover on the cd or dvd, you know the whole between the dvd/cd. There is probably some type of plastic creeping out on the hole edge..

it definately isn't any of my dvd's because this happens no matter what dvd is in there, this also happened when i had a Samsung DVD Rom drive on my old dell computer.
