Hello all, I'm new, so bear with me please. I am ripping with DVDShrink 3.2 and turning it into an iso with Folder2Iso 1.3 and burning with DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0. The burnt disc plays beautifully in the computer that it was created in, but does not play in my standalone dvd player or in my PS2. The dvd player shows "Cannot play" in the window. It seems like there is some option that I don't have set correctly in the burn process, but as I said, I'm new to this. I am burning in 4x speed though my NEC DVD recorder only writes at 2.4x. Please help. My equipment: Windows XP Home, 2.5 GHz, 800MB Ram, NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A firmware version 10GE. Disc is a brand new Maxell DVD+RW 'video' with up to a 4x write speed, rewritable, Single Sided. DVD standalone player is a Sony DVP-NS725P which I bought because it's supposed to play "anything". What am I missing??? Thanks
Since I have been burning, I always used Nero. But recently, I thought I would experiment a little with DVD Decrypter's Burn Engine. I must have backed up about 20 or more movies using Decrypter. I didn't test every disc right away, and at first it was ok, but then I hit a bad one! I had to go back through all recently backed up disc's. I have a portable DVD Player beside my computer for testing, and when this happened, you could hear it working, working, working. And then it would say "Invalid Disc". I took the same disc out to the main Player, and it would make a lot of noise for a long time, and finally it would actually play. I reburned the same movies my normal way with Nero (BookType), and everything was fine. It sounds Similar to me. try using a different burn program. JBurden
Also, DVD Shrink can create iso files for you, so you may not need to use, as you mentioned "Folder2Iso 1.3". Less work for you. JBurden Edit: Try not to Multi-Post.
