I used to use dvd43 to back up my dvd's with Nero. But that stopped working, so i updated my version of dvd43 to the most recent version 3.7 or something and it still errors. Any ideas ?

What movie did you have trouble with? Perhaps you may want to try DVDFAB Decrypter, it's free, go here http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm (there's two version 2.9.6.6 and a beta 2.9.6.8).

Good luck and keep us posted.

Ok, evidently i am crazy. How does this dvd idle thing work ? I'm used to my little green man just running in my task bar and going through nero. I've been trying to use it for a few movies -- thinking it was just movie specific. Band Camp and Big Fish specifically. As i said i had dvd43, uninstalled every last bit of it from my hard drive and updated it and it still won't work now nero is giving me errors. So with idle do i back it up through that or through nero ?

    Thanks

To make it simple, DVDFAB Decrypter, DVDIdle Pro and DVD43 are from the same creator (which I believe). However, DVDFAB Decrypt is ripper (with the newest decrypting updates). DVDIdle Pro and DVD43 are both cracking engines that's running in the background, but DVDIdle Pro is retail, and DVD43 is free.
