Hello...I need help...I just finished building an HTPC..(Yeah)...when I connect it to my Sony Receiver and then to the Sony HDTV, the video fills the screen, but is cropped on all 4 sides. If I put it in dual view mode and watch on both tv and PC monitor, the PC monitor video has more picture in the screen on all 4 sides.

My video card is a GForce 6200 and the problem is consistant whether using s-video or Component video. Also, if I disconnect the pc monitor and make the TV the only monitor, the problem is still there.

Example, when I play a DVD, and words to the right or left get chopped off and the same at the top or bottom. But, like I said, the picture fills the screen. It's like I need to capture the total picture and then shrink it back to full screen..

    Anyway..Help, please...

    Gary

I believe you need a tool for your pc to display custom resolutions ( try POWERSTRIP), since a pc monitor is 4:3 and I assume your HD is 16:9. So you'll just need to match up the res with the output.
    1080i/p 1,920x1,080
    720p 1,280x720
    480p 852x480

Or there may be a setting on you TV to fill the screen with the image.
