Hi, i'm hoping someone can help. About 2 wks ago I noticed that whenever I tried to send emails via Outlook Express they timed out. I figured out that I need to disable Norton to send/rec (which defeats the point of having anti virus). Things have now got worse, my emails not reaching recipients & theirs not coming through to me. I also noticed that sometimes my commands are not being actioned, ie to open links/to open programs on pc (this isn't happening all the time), I've noticed commands are slow & it now takes ages to shut down & restart pc.

I'm using broadband & Win XP, so far in order to try & solve my probs I've ran Norton live update, did full system scan (which didnt detect anything), ran spybot & adaware (removed the entries they told me), disc scan & defraged. Nothing's made any difference.

The only thing I think that occured about the time this happened is I went on Limewire after being off for a long period of time. A Norton pop up box appeared and, bless me! I have no idea what I clicked ok to, it was something about allowing/blocking use of port for Limewire, whatever it was seemed ok as my downloads were ok but I must've triggered something to be having the probs I'm experiencing.

    Can anyone offer any help?

    Thanks, Lilian
