If you can get drivers for it, then yes.

i use the USB slot on my PC to recharge the controller with the play'n'charge kit, just because i didn't like listening to the xbox power stay on to charge the controller after i turned it off, so i went to the PC and plugged it in to let it recharge, it did have the nice new hardware pop-up and ask me where the drivers were, but i cancled that and just let it power-up. kind of nice not being limited to the xbox360 to charge it.
Lotz of Gamez, couldn't fit them all, all are legit retail, hit me up or look at MGC if u wanna know

There's a small button on the top middle(across from the shoulder/trigger buttons) it releases the battery cartrige/pack.

Are you sure the original Xbox controller will not work on the 360? I have a USB converter cable for my Xbox controller that allowed me to use it on my computer. I have nottried it yet on the 360 but I will give it a shot tomorrow. I had to download a driver on my computer to use it of course but perhaps the 360 has one built in since the USB extensions were made for the original Xbox controllers.

i think it's been tried before, and i don't think it worked, try it though and see, no harm if it doesn't work, just don't get your hopes up to high of it working.

yeah, we have a no-go there. Though the Xbox 1 controller was USB (with a proprietary end) and though I was able to attach a normal USB end that I can use on my computer with no problem, the Xbox 360 would not recognize the first controller. Terrible. All they had to do was slip a driver in there for it. I downloaded my computer driver for free.

Ok, I bought a Xbox controller USB type for PC use. I installed the drivers and it appears and is calibrated in the Control Panel in XP under game controllers. I bought this to use for Call of Duty 2 but I can't seem to get the game to recognize it and can't reassign commands to buttons or toggles on the controller. Is COD2 non-supportive of the PC USB xbox controller?
